💾 How to Save Multiple Designs in One Project
Save and switch between different network design configurations within a single project - no need to duplicate projects to test variations.
How to Use Save State
- Save your current design
- Click the "Save States" button in the top menu
- Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "4 AP Design" or "Directional Antennas")
- Click Save
- Modify your design
- Add or remove access points
- Change antenna types (omnidirectional vs. directional)
- Adjust power settings or configurations
- Update carrier bandwidth or frequency settings
- Save the new variation
- Click "Save States" again
- Name this version (e.g., "5 AP Design" or "Omni Antennas")
- Click Save
- Switch between saved states
- Open the Save States dropdown
- Select any previously saved configuration
- The entire project instantly loads with all settings preserved
Common Use Cases
- AP quantity testing: Compare coverage with different numbers of access points
- Antenna comparison: Test omnidirectional vs. directional patterns
- Client scenarios: "What if we use fewer APs?" - instantly load that version
- Compliance testing: Save designs that meet different RSRP/SINR thresholds
- Budget options: Preserve premium vs. cost-effective configurations
Tips
- Use clear, descriptive names for each state
- Save your baseline design first before making changes
- All settings are preserved: antenna patterns, power levels, frequencies
