🔗 How to Design a Point-to-Point Link

Configure base stations, place receivers, and analyze RF link performance — including RSRP, RSSI, and Fresnel zone clearance.

🛠️ Step 1: Add Your Transmitting Radio

  • Click Hardware or press H

  • Select Add AP > Cellular > Outdoor

  • Choose a model (e.g., Tirana 3.5 GHz)

  • Set:

    • Height

    • Transmission Power

    • EIRP

    • Antenna type

    • Downtilt and Azimuth

  • Click Add AP and place it on the map

🧭 Step 2: Refine Location and Orientation

  • Use the sidebar to update:

    • Latitude/Longitude

    • Azimuth direction

  • Click Update to reposition precisely

📡 Step 3: Add Receiver and Create the Link

  • Click Fixed Wireless Tool

  • Select your Transmitter (or click it directly)

  • Then select your Receiver location

  • Set the Receiver Height (e.g., 6 meters)

  • Click Apply

📊 Step 4: View Signal Strength

  • Hover on the map to see real-time:

    • RSRP or RSSI (switchable via dropdown)

    • Calculations appear in the right-hand panel

🌀 Step 5: Run Fresnel Analysis

  • After placing the receiver:

    • Click on the link to view transmitter, receiver, and clearance

    • Click Download for a Fresnel zone visualization report

🎛️ Step 6: Adjust and Refine

  • Move receiver or change height to see instant updates

  • Transparency settings let you see base imagery under the heatmap

  • Re-analyze as needed to optimize line-of-sight and performance
