🛠️ How to Edit AP and Antenna Settings on the Canvas
📡 Antenna Configuration Settings Learn how to view antenna details, configure parameters, work with Massive MIMO beam patterns, and change or replace antennas on an AP.
📡 Step 1: Open Antenna Details
- Click Add AP and select Fixed Wireless, Outdoor
- Select an appropriate vendor
- Click Antennas, then under Sector 1 click Antenna Details
🔧 Step 2: Configure Antenna Parameters
- The Antenna Details screen shows the antenna's attributes
- Set the Azimuth and Elevation of the antenna
- View the 3D rendering of the antenna pattern
- Hold the left mouse button to pan and tilt the model
📶 Step 3: Configure Beam Patterns (Massive MIMO)
- For a Massive MIMO configuration, select the appropriate AP
- Click Sectors, then Antenna Details
- The antenna attributes appear the same as before; because this is a Massive MIMO antenna, you can now select beam patterns
- Select a beam relevant to your setup, click Include, and it is added to the plot
- You can select as many beams as needed — click, Include, then Apply
- In the dropdown, selected beams are marked with an asterisk (*)
- Scroll down to the Port Mapping area to see how everything is connected
- Proceed to placing the AP
🔄 Step 4: Change or Replace an Antenna (Multiple External Antennas)
- To add an AP with multiple external antennas, click Add AP
- Click Sectors, then Antenna Details
- The antenna model now shows a Change button — click it to change the antenna as needed
- Browse the list of available antennas
- Filter or search for a specific model by beamwidth, frequency, or external/internal
- Add additional filters such as manufacturer, max gain, port count, and band support
- Select the appropriate antenna and click Replace
📋 Step 5: Clone a Sector
- To clone an existing sector, click Clone Sector
- Make the relevant changes and click Add AP
✅ The antenna is now configured for the selected AP and ready for placement.
