📱 How to Configure Client Settings
Set client parameters such as height, transmission power, and MIMO capabilities to accurately simulate uplink and downlink performance.
⚙️ Step 1: Open the Client Configuration Menu
-
The Client Configuration menu is located in the top header.
-
Click to open it.
📏 Step 2: Set Client Height
-
Example values:
-
Phone → 1.5 m
-
Camera → 10 ft
-
-
You can also set a rule: Automatically place clients 5 ft above each roof.
📡 Step 3: Configure Transmission Power
-
Set the Tx power of the client device.
-
Example: iPhone → up to 20 dBm (typically ~15 dBm).
-
-
For CPE devices, specify antenna gain.
🔗 Step 4: Define Device Capabilities
-
Set supported modulation and MIMO options:
-
Downlink → 256-QAM, 4x4 MIMO
-
Uplink → 64-QAM, 2x2 MIMO
-
✅ Step 5: Apply Settings
-
Click Apply to confirm.
-
All calculations and simulations will update automatically.
🌡️ Step 6: Analyze Heat Maps and KPIs
-
Heat maps and KPIs update based on client configuration:
-
Downlink → influenced by modulation & MIMO.
-
Uplink → strongly affected by transmission power.
-
-
You can view separately:
-
Uplink & Downlink heat maps
-
KPIs: SINR, RSSI, throughput, primary/secondary metrics.
-
💡 Tip: Keep in mind that uplink results are more sensitive to client-side transmission power, while downlink is often influenced by infrastructure capabilities.
