๐Ÿ“ How to Use the Measurement Tool

Measure terrain elevation, object height, and point-to-point clearance to understand RF propagation and line-of-sight.

๐Ÿ“ Method 1: Hover-Based Measurements

  • Open the Visibility Bar

  • Enable Measurement

  • As you move your mouse:

    • Terrain shows elevation above sea level

    • Surface shows the top height (e.g., tree or object)

    • Lat/Long displays the precise coordinates

    • If hovering over a building, Subtraction shows the buildingโ€™s height above terrain

๐Ÿ“ Method 2: Point-to-Point Profiling

  • Use the Measure Tool or press the M key

  • Click your first point, then your second point

  • A profile view appears showing the terrain and obstruction details

  • Hover over the profile to see exact elevation at each point

  • Press Esc to end the segment

  • Press Esc again to reset and start a new measurement

  • You can manually adjust the height of the first and second point to calculate clearance
