# 📡 How to Manually Place APs and Plan a Network

## Place APs manually, configure RF settings, and generate heatmaps in real time.

### 🛠️ Step 1: Launch the Hardware Panel

- Click on **Hardware** in the top menu
- Or press **H** on your keyboard

### 📡 Step 2: Add an Access Point

- Choose **Wi-Fi** or **Cellular**
- Select your **vendor and model** (e.g., Cambium E410)
- Set configuration:
  
    - **Height**
    - **Band & Power**
    - **Channel selection**
    - **Antenna type**
    - **Custom name**

### 🗺️ Step 3: Place the AP

- Click **Add AP**
- Click on the map to place it where you want
- A **heatmap is automatically generated** for each placed AP

### ✏️ Step 4: Edit Configuration

- Click on an AP to **rename or reconfigure** it
- Adjust **transmit power**, height, channels, etc.
- Click **Update** to apply changes — heatmap updates in real-time
