View your indoor network designs with realistic building architecture including walls, doors, windows, and materials for better coverage planning and client presentations.

How to Use 3D Indoor Rendering

  1. Toggle to 3D View
    • Press C on your keyboard to switch from 2D to 3D
    • The view instantly renders with building details
    • Press C again to return to 2D view
  2. Navigate the 3D environment
    • Use two fingers on trackpad to rotate view
    • Click and drag to pan around
    • Scroll to zoom in/out
    • Explore the building from any angle
  3. Add coverage visualization
  • Turn on the heatmap overlay
  • See coverage patterns within the 3D structure
  • Visualize how signals interact with walls, doors, and windows

Key Features

  • Accurate architecture: Windows and doors rendered with actual dimensions
  • Material visualization: Different wall types display realistically
  • Real-time updates: Changes to materials instantly affect the view
  • Coverage context: See exactly how RF propagates through building elements

Navigation Controls

  • C key: Toggle between 2D and 3D views
  • Two-finger drag: Rotate the view
  • Scroll: Zoom in/out
  • Click and drag: Pan across the building

Use Cases

  • Client presentations: Show realistic coverage in their actual environment
  • Material impact: Demonstrate how different wall types affect coverage
  • Design validation: Verify AP placement with architectural context
  • Stakeholder buy-in: Help non-technical audiences understand coverage

Tips

  • Start with heatmap OFF to show building structure clearly
  • Change materials before adding heatmap for cleaner presentation
  • Use slow, smooth rotations when presenting to clients
  • Toggle between 2D and 3D to show both technical and visual perspectives

Benefits

  • Eliminates abstract heatmaps - shows coverage in real context
  • Helps identify potential signal obstacles
  • Improves client communication with visual clarity
  • Speeds up design approval with better visualization
