🛜 How to Track Compliance Automatically

Automatically calculate what percentage of your coverage area meets specified RSRP and SINR thresholds for instant validation against network quality standards.

How to Use Compliance Tracking

  1. Open the Compliance Panel
    • Click "Summary" button
    • Select "Coverage" option
    • The compliance tracking panel opens
  2. Set RSRP compliance threshold
    • Select RSRP from the KPI dropdown
    • Enter your threshold (e.g., -100 dBm)
    • Press Enter
    • View compliance percentage (e.g., "64% compliant")
  3. Check SINR compliance
    • Click the KPI dropdown
    • Select "SINR"
    • Set threshold (e.g., 20)
    • Press Enter
    • View updated compliance percentage
  4. Toggle building inclusion
    • Use "Include Buildings" toggle
    • ON: Includes indoor areas in calculation
    • OFF: More realistic for outdoor network coverage
    • Compliance percentage updates automatically

Create Custom Area Analysis

  1. Define area of interest
    • Turn off heatmap for clarity
    • Click "Add Area Type"
    • Name it (e.g., "Area of Interest" or "Runway")
    • Click Save
  2. Draw the area
    • Select area drawing tool
    • Click points to create polygon around target area
    • Box off the specific zone you need to analyze
  3. Check area-specific compliance
    • Go to Summary → Coverage
    • Under "Areas" dropdown, select your custom area
    • Set RSRP or SINR threshold
    • View compliance for just that area (e.g., "95% compliant")

Individual AP Analysis

  1. Check single AP compliance
    • Click the select tool
    • Click on any access point
    • View compliance percentage for just that AP's coverage
    • Identify which APs need adjustment
  2. Real-time optimization
    • Select and move an AP
    • Compliance percentage updates instantly
    • No need to recalculate manually

Key Features

  • Multiple KPIs: Check RSRP, SINR, and other metrics
  • Building toggle: Include/exclude indoor areas
  • Custom areas: Analyze specific zones (runways, stadiums, etc.)
  • Live updates: See impact of changes immediately
  • Individual AP metrics: Isolate problematic access points

Common Use Cases

  • Design validation: Confirm coverage meets requirements before deployment
  • Area-specific requirements: Different thresholds for different zones
  • AP optimization: Identify and fix underperforming access points
  • Client requirements: Prove design meets specified standards
  • Quick iterations: Adjust and validate in real-time

Tips

  • Start with overall compliance, then drill down to specific areas
  • Exclude buildings for more realistic outdoor coverage metrics
  • Use custom areas for critical zones with strict requirements
  • Check both RSRP (signal strength) and SINR (signal quality)
  • Save different states when compliance targets are met

Benefits

  • No manual calculations needed
  • Instant feedback during design process
  • Meet compliance requirements on first deployment
  • Document coverage quality for stakeholders
  • Reduce site visits and rework
